***Vintage Ride Update***
- Denise
*************NOTICE**************** The Vintage Sled Ride scheduled for this Saturday Feb 4, 2012 has been cancelled. We regret having to do so but the complete lack of snow on the ground and the improbability of any significant snowfall in the future forcasts leaves us with no alternative but to cancel the ride for this season.

***2012 Annual Snowmobile Raffle Drawing***
- Denise
This Saturday, 1/7/12, Lakewood Lodge, Rte. 370 Lakewood Pa @ 3pm we are holding our drawing. Unfortunately we will have to drive the "wheeled vehicles" in and not the "tracked ones"; Mother Nature just won't cooperate with us this season. To all those winter haters...WE HOPE IT SNOWS TILL JULY!! Anyway, hope to see you all there just the same!

The Vintage Sled Ride originally scheduled for Jan 14 obviously needed to be postponed due to the uncooperation of Mother Nature. Now slated for Saturday, Feb 4. at Arlo's on Rte. 171 Union Dale. Sled registration starts @ 9am, cost $15.00 per sled, leave 10am. We will not be going to the Candlelight Inn this year. The plan is to ride all the way down to Forest City and back. Vintage Sleds are 1980 & older; However we will not turn anyone away. Special Note: Children driving a sled will have to be a minimum of 10 years and have their original Safety Course Certification or they will only be permitted to ride along, no exceptions. See you there!

Final Work Day Sunday 12/18/11
- Denise
This is it. The last chance work day to try and finish up remaining projects before Christmas and hopefully the first ride-able snows of the season. We still have 3-4 very important issues to address including a couple of bridges, signage, and one short but important tree clearing project. Get these done and our trails will be in better shape going into this riding season than they have been in a long time . What we are able to accomplish this Sunday will depend in large part by just how many members are able to come out and help. The larger the turnout the more we can get done. A smaller turnout and we will have to prioritize what gets done and what does not. All are important so please make the effort to come out this one last time and we can wrap it up for the year. Meeting at ARLO'S COUNTRY STORE 8:30 AM SUNDAY DEC 18TH. Our members are going to notice and appreciate all the improvements that have been made to the trail system. Thanks to everyone of you who have volunteered and helped us this year.

Work Day Scheduled...Sunday 12/11/11
- Denise
This Sunday DEC 11TH we are planning a work day to try and finish up some of the last remaining projects before our season begins. We will meet at Arlo,s Country Store @ 8;30 AM . Yesterday we received between 1/2" to 3/4" of rain and then it changed to snow and dumped 2-5 inches on the area. Even though it is starting to melt, come Sunday work conditions will be challenging at best so come prepared. Last week we were able to finish up half a dozen small but important trail projects, if we can do the same this week we should be in fairly good shape for the start of the season Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to volunteer this Fall and help us work on the trails. Some of you have been coming out each and every week since early September. We got a lot done, had a good time doing it and made some new friends along the way.
